Surrounded by the impressive mountains of the Salzburg region, the Zell am See-Kaprun Golf Club offers a first-class golfing experience. Two 18-hole courses – ‘Schmittenhöhe’ and ‘Kitzsteinhorn’ – spoil you with perfectly manicured fairways, challenging greens and varied playing options for every skill level. Covering more than 15 hectares, the wildlife park is home to over 200 animals from the Alps and other regions, which can be observed in natural enclosures. The park also offers an adventure area of around 20,000 m² with more than 40 play and ride facilities – ideal for children of all ages. Whether it’s climbing and balancing fun, interactive play stations or golf caddy tours through the alpine landscape – there’s something for everyone here. The paths are suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs, so families and guests with limited mobility can enjoy the park without any problems.
Particularly practical: the park is located directly on the Grossglockner High Alpine Road, so a visit can be combined perfectly with a panoramic drive.

Only about an hour away from Maishofen are the Krimml Waterfalls, which, with a total height of 380 metres, are the highest waterfalls in Europe. On the well-maintained waterfall trail, you can experience the power of the water up close, while several viewing platforms offer spectacular views of the three impressive waterfall steps. Informative boards along the route provide interesting facts about the flora, fauna and geology of the region.

The hike is particularly impressive in early summer, when the snowmelt increases the volume of water. The Krimml Waterfalls are not only a spectacular photo opportunity, but also an unforgettable experience for nature lovers, hikers and families in the Salzburg region.

The Sigmund Thun Gorge in Kaprun is one of the most impressive natural wonders in the Salzburg region and a must-see for every holidaymaker in the area. Well-constructed wooden walkways and bridges lead through the narrow gorge, where the waters of the Kapruner Ache river rush through with a thunderous roar. Over a length of around 320 metres and a depth of around 32 metres, visitors can experience the full force of nature up close – a spectacular experience for the whole family.

The Klammsee lake at the end of the gorge is particularly impressive: a turquoise-blue mountain lake that invites you to linger, take photographs and marvel at its beauty.
